WRITING COMPETITION
Theme: If Not Us, Who?
Two submission categories: Poetry (of any style) and Short Story (fiction)
Two $600 prizes for best in each category
Two $400 prizes for the runner-up in each category

Antelope Hill Publishing wishes to express the stories and help build the culture that will pave the way to a better tomorrow. To this end we are launching our fifth annual writing competition to gather this material and later to publish the very best of it in print form. We are accepting submissions from March 1st to midnight of April 15th (EST). No work will be reviewed until submissions are closed. Depending on the volume of content received, we will take approximately one to two months to come to a decision regarding the winners. Entrants are reminded to only submit work that already meets the high standard of Antelope Hill Publishing, and to keep submissions to an absolute maximum of 5,000 words.
A Few Notes On The Theme: Our theme for this year’s writing contest is “If Not Us, Who?” We are looking for stories and poems centered around the consequences of one’s decisions, both in action and inaction. Submissions can be political or apolitical, grandiose or mundane, real or fictional, and can run the gamut from the triumph and victory that come from following through with your convictions, to the pensiveness of inaction, the heartbreak caused by wrongful action, or anything else. We wish to keep the topic broad so as to encourage a wide array of ideas.
